The death of TV presenter Emily Hartridge and 31 e-scooter-related injuries in London last year have not slowed sales, which have risen by 50% in the past 12 months.

Ministers are considering legalizing e-scooters on roads and cycle lanes, citing their potential for reducing air pollution.

However, other cities that have legalized e-scooters are reevaluating their decisions due to increasing casualties.

The number of e-scooter injuries in the US quadrupled between 2014 and 2018, and UK lawyers are preparing for potential litigation related to e-scooter accidents.
