“A barrister questioned the law based on the fact that the law states that the vehicle (Xaomi M365 E-Scooter) has to be intended or adapted for road use which it isn’t.
They deliberated & the magistrate came out and reminded Danny that the vehicle should not be used on the road very sternly, which Danny accepted.
The magistrate finished by saying that because the vehicle is not supposed to be used on the road and insurance is not possible to obtain that they find no grounds to charge Danny” Danny was issued with 6 points on his licence and a £300 fine.
