Below is an email response I received from the Department of Transport, surrounding current legalisation of electric scooters and electric unicycles.
“The law was not drafted with personal vehicles in mind, so users of these devices will find it a challenge to comply with the legal requirements for motor vehicles.
The Department recognises that people want to take advantage of the opportunities e- scooters can offer.”
